Sip into Summer with Remarkably Bright Wines and Remarkably Bright Creatures

White Wine and a Love Oh-So Fine
White Wine and a Love Oh-So Fine

Amid death, loss of the unknown, hope, and a persistent intelligence, We the readers find ourselves in the middle of a multi-perspective story. Tova is a widow who has experienced far too much death in her life. Cameron is a man trying to figure out his life without a father's or mother's guidance. And Marcellus, a masterful escape artist who holds more intelligence in one tentacle than most of the humans who visit his exhibit. How could any of these characters have anything in common? The answer is, they don’t. Well, at least that’s how it seems on the surface. This book had me laughing out loud, rolling my eyes, and cursing the ground these characters walked on. Although I will comment straight to our side character, Katie: Girl you got a lot of confidence in a man who lives in a van with a horrible chip on his shoulder and sleeps on a piss smelling mattress. Ewe.

To pair this beautifully written book, I suggest a Martin Codax Albarino Rias Baixas bottle. The mixture of apple and peach balances well with the bitter/sour-sweet taste in our story. A refreshing white wine perfectly suited for our upcoming Summer, adding these two elements to the TBR (to be read) and TBD (to be drunk) lists will guarantee a remarkably bright experience.

Tipsy Tibits: To keep your white wine cooler for longer, avoid holding the glass with your palms. The heat from your palms can warm up the wine and cause the crispy flavors to become too loose. And we all know how much we hate it when things get too loose....
